Here is an interesting case study about how we got rid of sewer rats by installing 3 new stainless-steel rat-gates at the Hampstead Magistrate’s Court in London NW3.
Rat Gates are non-return valves that allow waste water to flow out of your home but prevent rats from gaining entry to your property.
As you can see in the pictures, the customer had already had plastic rat stoppers installed in their system. Plastic rat stoppers are notoriously unreliable and unfortunately one had failed which was causing a blockage. The second had completely disintegrated and was allowing rats to enter the property.
Our team got to work clearing the blockage and removing the defective rat blockers. The manhole was then cleaned allowing us to perform a CCTV survey of the pipework to make sure that the rats had not damaged the system. Thankfully, no defects were found.
We then proceeded to install the new stainless-steel rat gates. These are fixed to the wall with a cable for added security.
It has been nearly a month since we completed this job and we are happy to report that the property is still rat free.
The client was very grateful and complimentary about our services and agreed to leave us a review on Google Maps and Trustatrader.Com.
