Here’s an interesting case study where our engineers attended site for a blocked drain in Henley-on-Thames RG9.
The drain was initially cleared using our high-pressure water jet. However, after clearance it was evident that there had been a massive ingress of tree roots into the drainage system which we confirmed with a CCTV survey.
The survey showed that over 30 meters of pipework had been damaged by tree roots.
We spoke to the client and agreed that the best course of action would be to clear the roots from the system using our Picote Milling Machine.
Once the roots were cleared, we performed a second CCTV inspection and discovered the roots had caused multiple cracks, fractures and misplaced joints in the drainage system.
We discussed this with the client and presented the different options.
It was finally decided to adopt a no-dig lining solution to save digging up the garden which would have cost a great deal of money and would also have spoiled a very beautiful lawn and shrubbery.
The system is now completely root free and the drainage system has been restored to its original glory with minimal impact on the surrounding building structures.
At the end we cleared, cleaned, tested and disinfected the area and the client was very grateful and complimentary about our services and agreed to leave us a review on Google Maps and Trustatrader.Com.
