Terms & Conditions for Drainage Services
Know your rights. This document should take approximately 2-minutes to read.
1.0 Payment Terms
All payments for drainage services are due on completion of works and can be made by cash or credit/debit card.
2.0 Fixed Price Services
There is no call out charge and our fixed price charges for clearing a standard blockage are as follows: –
- £60 plus vat for manual clearance using the rods or plunger.
- £120 plus vat for use of the high pressure jet or rotary machine.
We do not charge both the rates at the same time, so if the engineer tries to clear it manually first and is unsuccessful and needs to use the machinery then we would only charge the machinery rate.
3.0 Free CCTV “Look and See” Inspections
Following machinery clearance we offer a Free “look and see” inspection with our CCTV equipment. If any remedial works are required a fixed price will be quoted on site.
4.0 Firm Fixed Price Quotations
All of our quotations are a firm fixed price and you will never be asked to pay more than you agree up-front. In the majority of situations, we can offer an immediate quotation based on our standard tariffs. However, many of the drainage systems in London can be 100+ years old and therefore, in some situations, we may need to revise our costings once our engineer inspects your system. For example, the engineer might find that your drains have completely collapsed, or they are infested with rats. If it is necessary to revise our quotation you will be informed immediately and will be provided with a new fixed price quotation. You will then have the opportunity to accept or refuse our revised quotation. If you decide to refuse our revised proposal then there is no-obligation, nothing to pay, and you will have the right to find an alternative company with our best wishes.
Unless otherwise stated on your invoice, all our work comes with our standard 30-day no-quibble guarantee upon clearance or repair. However, if the engineer finds that there is a problem with your drainage system or further works are required then it may not be possible to provide you with a warranty. For example, if we found that your drainage system had collapsed or a pipe was dislocated it would not be possible to guarantee that the original fault would not reoccur until the issues were corrected.
6.0 Complaints Procedure
We always take every effort to make sure that we only ever deliver the highest quality service. However, if you are unhappy about any service that we have provided and you would like to contact us to resolve the issue then please contact us
in writing via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
7.0 Alternative Dispute Resolution Service
We would like to state that we have never had a situation where we could not resolve a customer’s complaint amicably, and we do not anticipate that this will ever happen in the future. However, if we could not resolve a complaint using our own complaints procedure, we would use the National Association of Drainage Contractors (N.A.D.C) as a Dispute Resolution Ombudsman. In the unlikely event that we have been unable to resolve your issue and you wish to refer the complaint to them please contact 0800 0933 507 or via their website http://www.nadc.org.uk/.
